
Vijayan, the stunt director of Wanted, choreographed the action sequences of the film, while Mahesh Limaye has performed the cinematography. For his role of a police officer, Salman Khan sported a moustache for the second time in his career. Some portions of the film were also shot in the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Metro. Sonu Sood, one of the cast members, reportedly fractured his nose while shooting. Most of the scenes were shot in the town of Wai in Maharashtra, while a song and some important portions were shot in United Arab Emirates. Shooting for the film began in September 2009. Will Chulbul take his extended hand? Will the brothers be able to thwart their detractors? Will this time, Chulbuls fearlessness channelize itself positively and reunite him with his family? Dabangg is a hard-hitting, entertaining, emotional narrative that unfolds grippingly in a region that has place only for the fearless. When he realizes he has been used, he turns to Chulbul. Makhanchan ends up carrying out acts oblivious to the consequences.

But his detractors, especially the dubious Cheddi Singh have their own vested interests and emerge as spokes in the wheel, putting one brother against the other. Chulbul starts to see life more positively and also gets sensitized to the value of a family. Rajo with her unique perspective of life enters his world and turns it upside down. However, after his mothers demise and an unsuccessful attempt to mend wounds, Chulbul snaps all ties with his step-father and half-brother. He decides to take control of his destiny and detaches himself from his step-father and half-brother. Prajapati favours Makhanchan which does not go down well with Chulbul. His father passed away when he was very young after which his mother, Naini married Prajapati Pandey. But even the most fearless at times face a tough fight with their innermost demons.

Set in Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh, Dabangg is a story of Chulbul Pandey, a totally fearless but corrupt police officer with unorthodox working methods. The theatrical trailer of Dabangg was released on 23 July 2010. The film also features Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill and Sonu Sood in supporting roles. The film also marks the debut of director Abhinav Kashyap who is the brother of acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap. It is going to be the debut film of Sonakshi as an actor and Arbaaz as a producer. The lead actors in the film include Arbaazs elder brother, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. It is the first film of newly launched Arbaaz Khan productions.

Dabangg is an upcoming Hindi action film, directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan, set to be released on 10 September 2010.
